A Brooklyn native, Bob Richman honed his cinematography skills working with the Maysles brothers and eventually shot Christo’s Umbrellas with Albert Maysles and Henry Corra. He has shot documentary commercials with Corra Films including Papa Johns and Gateway. He was nominated for a prime time Emmy for his work on the HBO Film Paradise Lost: the Robin Hood Hills Child Murders, which won the Best Editing Emmy and the Peabody Award for journalism. He has also worked on the Academy Award-nominated My Architect, the Academy Award-winning An Inconvenient Truth and the September Issue. Bob’s directorial debut was in the 2009 film Ahead of Time.
